HARDIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY EVERY WOMAN'S ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL

The Organisers

This festival was created to fill a need in the community for women artists and crafters. Many art shows and fairs require submitting work for approval by a jury and expensive participation fees or membership in a group or club. Not so with this festival... all that's needed are your quality handcrafted items and a smile!

We want women of all ages, and all interests, to be included and feel proud of their work. Whether it's fine art and jewelry, basketry, weaving, textiles, candles, soaps, notecards, prints, photography, baby items, pet treats, baked goods, plants, crochet, etc. - whatever your passion and gift for arts and craftiness - you are welcome (and encouraged) to participate in this festival.

This event was inspired by Marianne Campbell and Malorie Shannon. Marianne was tired of, and outraged by, all the severe juries, high fees, and lack of support for women in the arts. So she and her friend Malorie started this event right in Marianne's driveway and it keeps growing.

After doing a lot of research, and talking to women at local shops and meetings in the Radcliff and Elizabethtown area, we found that the interest and reponse to such an event here was tremendous!

Current Event Organizer, LaDonna Eastman, is originally from Hardin County, born at Fort Knox, and with lifelong family in Radcliff and E-town. Along with a small group of friends, art activists, and volunteers, we hope to establish this wonderful community event as an annual Spring festival. Come out and visit the celebration - if you're an artist or crafter - join us! :)
